Pictured below are several shots of my recent larger sized work entitled "Freak Flag # 2015."  Instead of watching people blow things up on the 4th of July I stayed home and finished this painting.  This is a tribute to many many things ...peace and love to all.

Fifi's New Season

Today I said farewell to a painting that I completed in April of this year called "Fifi's New Season," shown above.  Fifi was shipped to a private collector in Los Angeles, California.  I hope she fares well in SoCal, I am going to miss her!

Neko, Jr.

This mini is a companion piece to the the mini that I posted yesterday (33 Rivers).  I often work on 2-3 minis in tandem, and in this case there is actually a third mini that I am still working on that rounds out this trio of small pieces I've been tinkering with in June.  Also, this mini is the offspring of "Neko And Her Wafers", a 17x17 piece that I completed earlier this month.

33 Rivers

Pictured above is my latest mini, "33 Rivers," which is a tribute to all of my good friends in the Pittsburgh area.  Still smiling from a great trip to the Three Rivers Arts Festival last weekend.

A baby checking out my minis in PIttsburgh this weekend

Had a fantastic time at the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Art Festival this past weekend.  What a great experience to share my work with so many people.  The minis were a big hit, even with this little baby!

I am working on an extended blog post about my experience, including an update on the whereabouts of my painting "Neko And Her Wafers", which allegedly left the festival on Neko's tour bus after a fine performance by her and her band on Saturday night.  Many folks to thank as well so please check back soon.

Neko And Her Wafers

Pictured above is my latest painting.  I created this in one sitting during the first game of the NBA Finals last week as a healthy way to channel my anxieties from the game.  As a Cleveland area resident you can probably guess that I am a Cavs fan.

The title is a shout out to Neko Case, one of the headline musicians that will be playing at the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Arts Fest this coming weekend.

A detail shot of this painting appears on my home page (as of the date of this post).

Mancave Mural #23

Pictured above is a piece that I finished last month as part of a challenge that I made to myself.  I don't use the color black much and I don't exactly know why, so for this one, I started with a layer of all black.
